Your Coach will receive a personal warm welcome from the hotel on arrival which will include an introduction to the hotel, information such as dining times and guidance on whom to contact should your guests require assistance during their stay.

As standard, pre-allocated complimentary coach parking will be provided where available, as well as Welcome Drinks upon arrival such as Tea & Coffee for all guests and drivers. Local sweet treats such as Welsh cakes in Wales & Shortbread in Scotland will also be offered.

Rooms and Keys will be available for collection upon arrival, and when pre-booked, the option of Porterage for 1 bag per person is also available. We will take all possible steps to ensure your guests have a smooth and relaxing start to their vacation.

The University of Hull and Compass Hospitality are pleased to announce a new scholarship programme for students undertaking their undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

November 18, 2020 – The University of Hull and Compass Hospitality are pleased to announce a new scholarship programme for students undertaking their undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The scholarships, with a total value of £60,000, are particularly tailored to support students who need financial assistance whilst rewarding those students who have achieved a high standard of academic performance.

The scholarships will also provide recipients with a career-path into the hospitality sector through the provision of paid placements with Compass Hospitality in the UK during their vacations and management training/career opportunities in the UK and abroad upon graduation.

“We are delighted to be offering these scholarships for students of the University of Hull,” mentioned Matthew Welbourn, Executive Vice President of Compass Hospitality UK. “We have a strong legacy of providing scholarships in Asia as we believe in the importance of education and welcome the opportunity to play a role in advancing the education and providing job opportunities to deserving students. We are also pleased that this effort will further enhance our already robust staff training and development programmes”

UK Compass Hospitality Hotels to Remain Open

COVID-19 UPDATE FOR COMPASS HOSPITALITY HOTELS IN ENGLAND:

Following the latest Government announcement and the new legislation coming into effect on the 5th November 2020 for England, Compass Hospitality are providing accommodation to those who have to travel for work purposes. Leisure stays can still be taken from the 2nd December 2020.

Our Wales Hotels planned to reopen for all leisure guest on 9th November & Scotland Hotels remain open.  

Our bars and restaurants will be closed, with the exception of takeaway services at selected locations.
Room service will remain available to all who stay with us.

If you have a leisure booking at one of our hotels during November, we will happily change your stay to a future date. Please contact the hotel directly to change your booking. Be aware that we are experiencing high volumes of calls and emails so it may take longer for us to respond.

We would like to thank all our guests and team members for their continued support and dedication throughout 2020 and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back in December where we will be once again accepting room reservations and serving our popular festive lunch, dinners and afternoon teas.

Frequently Asked Questions (Updated 3rd November 2020)

Can I stay in a hotel for work purposes?
Yes, we will only accept reservations during the lockdown if you are travelling for work purposes.

I have a leisure room reservation for November, what should I do?
Please contact the hotel who will be happy to change your booking to a future date. If you purchased through a 3rd party website (e.g. Expedia/Booking.com), please go to them directly to change your booking details.

Can we still dine in your restaurant?
No, our restaurants will be closed for the duration of the lockdown. We will however, be offering takeaway at selected locations and room service at all hotels for those who are staying with us.

Can I still book my room for December or next year?
Yes, we will still accept room or restaurant reservations from the 2nd December and will happily change your booking to a date of your choice when there are no Government travel restrictions in place.

Do I need to wear a face mask?
From the 22nd September 2020, new Government legislation came into effect where face masks need to worn in communal areas of hotels. Please ensure you bring these with you as we are unable to supply masks.

I have a wedding or event booked, what happens now?
All events scheduled to take place during the lockdown will be automatically cancelled. Please contact us to arrange a suitable future date.

Do you offer daily housekeeping?
During your stay with us, your room becomes your ‘bubble’. Our teams will not enter, so if you are staying for more than one night, please let us know if you need anything refreshing via one of our team members.

Are you offering food and drink to residents?
Our restaurants will remain closed but residents will still be able to order food and drink to their rooms. Please be aware that reduced menus may apply.

Are there any changes to room reservation cancellation policies?
Our regular terms and conditions apply for room reservations. If, however, you have a booking during a national or local lockdown that would prevent you from staying with us, we will happily change your reservation to a future date.

My gift voucher was due to expire over lockdown, can I use this at a later date?
Any gift voucher purchased through our website that was due to expire after 1st April 2020 will have 6 months automatically added to the expiry date, so you will still have time to enjoy your gift. Any new vouchers purchased from the 2nd April 2020 will have the standard 12 months validity. If the voucher was purchased through a 3rd party, please check with them for their own terms and conditions.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE MAY 2020

Dear Valued Guest,

We hope this updated letter finds you and your family safe and well at this time. Many of us will be reflecting on how everyday life has changed in recent months.

We have all had to significantly adapt our daily lives, including the way we operate our hotels in UK, and we want to personally thank you for your ongoing patience and co-operation.

Working together, we have continued to make changes to protect you and our colleagues, and to ensure we can accommodate our KEY and Essential workers who need to work away from their homes.

Most recently, we have begun providing our hotel teams with the option of wearing face masks and PPE.

These moves were in addition to the other measures we have put in place within our UK Hotels, as a reminder, these have included:

  • Providing PPE to our teams
  • Staff training modules – following Government guidelines
  • Enhanced Housekeeping cleaning measures with industry registered cleaning products for all our teams
  • Virtual pre-check in prior to arrival
  • Installing clear screens at check-in/out desks and bar areas
  • Limiting the number of people at any one time at reception, bar and lift areas
  • Installing two-metre floor markers and increased in-house signage promoting physical distancing
  • Enhanced Housekeeping cleaning measures with industry registered cleaning products in all areas of the hotel
  • Removal of in-room guest directory and literature
  • Offering ‘Grab n Go breakfast option or social distancing table spacing
  • In room dining, pre-order drinks service & removing any tray charge costs.
  • Sanitizing stations at all entrancing and exit points
  • Encouraging customers to use contactless payment such as contactless cards, rather than cash, where possible

These measures would not have been as effective without you playing your part by following our guidelines with patience and understanding.

There are bound to be more changes to come in these and other areas of our everyday lives. Whatever they may be, the steps we have taken are important and we expect that they – and your continued support for them – will be needed for the foreseeable future.

Compass Hospitality Joins Hands With Seacare Hospitality and SPCS Consultancy to Acquire The Suites Hotel & Spa Knowsley

UNITED KINGDOM – In line with its plans for further expansion into the UK market, Compass Hospitality has added a second spa hotel to its UK portfolio: The Suites Hotel Knowsley. Situated in the borough of Knowsley, near Liverpool, the newly refurbished spa hotel is a joint investment between three parties: Seacare Hospitality, SPCS Consultancy, and Compass Hospitality.

 

The acquisition also marks the first foray of SPCS Consultancy – a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Singapore Police Co-operative Society Ltd – into the hotel and resorts sector.

One of the most well-renowned hotels in the North West, the suite-only hotel boasts 96 luxurious bedrooms, two on-site restaurants, and eight event spaces. The hotel also features an award-winning luxury spa and leisure club – one of the region’s finest leisure, relaxation and fitness destinations.
