27^th September 2023 – The Esplanade Hotel joins an increasingly substantial portfolio of 20 hotels under Compass Hospitality management in the UK, whose current growth is being further supported by the growing momentum of the rebounding UK hospitality market.

The property boasts 84 ensuite bedrooms, many of which enjoy uninterrupted sea views, ample car parking, spacious public areas as well as a range of amenities including an on-site restaurant, bar, snack bar, shared lounges, luggage storage, a 24-hour front desk and feature ballroom.

Paignton, set in the heart of Torbay, is an ideal resort for all ages as well as a great base from which to explore South Devon and the surrounding area. Within the hotel, the south-facing Sun Lounge and Harbour Bar Lounge offer stunning views across ‘the Bay’ and the attractive Riviera Suite provides a warm and friendly atmosphere to relax in.

The full-service beachfront hotel has historically offered its Group Tour guests an enviable staycation location being just a short walk from Paignton Beach, the Harbour, and the iconic Victorian Pier. Moving forward, the hotel will be marketed to welcome a more diverse business mix inclusive of corporate, leisure, and meeting & event guests in addition to its domestic and in-bound Group Tour base.
